About the artwork:
As a fantasy artist, women in armour are a subject that I’ve always loved. I’ve witnessed the transition from the bikini chainmail to real, practical armour as the women in the fantasy stories went from prizes to main characters. Because, as The Last Dinner Party sing in the song from which I stole the title, “what good are red lips when you’re faced with something sharp?” – Francesca Resta
