About the Artwork:

“THE REPTILIAN BRAIN is a twist on the legend of St. George fighting the dragon. I see the myth as a metaphor for the levels of the brain: so the knight or logic (the human brain), ridinging the horse or emotion (the mammal brain), fighting the Raptors or baser instincts (the reptilian brain). I also like the theory that stories about dragons came from ancient people finding dinosaur fossils.” – Alex Hovey
