About the Artwork:
“The Wolf orders the Ravens to bring the water of life in order to revive Ivan.
I usually work with oils but wanted to work with water mediums + graphite. A watercolour wash was first applied, then on top of the wash the graphite drawing was made. Areas such as the background birch trees were made using gouache. To protect and preserve the image, I used cold wax, which retains the integrity of the image and gives it a silky matt sheen.” – Hazel Ang
