About the Artwork:
“The Jaguar is one of the most important figures and symbols of some indigenous communities in Colombia; Regarded as a hunter and a guardian of nature, it is believed that the Jaguar was created by the sun to be its representative on earth and was tasked with keeping the balance of all things, including the relationship between us humans and our planet. This piece is in many ways an homage to that symbolism and to the beauty and importance of this amazing creature.” – Diego Peñuela
