About the Artwork:

“Every survivor in our society will say they have but a few persons they can cling their heart onto. We all know the need to adapt to survive. Sometimes sacrificing a few pieces of the humanity we have left, changing for the sake of advancing life forward. Often times we also leave someone behind.

We do what is necessary, but is it really worth leaving someone from their side, just to keep living alone without anyone we care about? The choice in life is always simple, but the decision we have made never was.” – Bobby Leash

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

Born in 1989, Bobby Leash is an emerging artist working in the digital medium. His work portrays young Japanese manga characters with melancholy expressions, often alone and defeated in the looming darkness. He sees his painting as his own personal observation on the struggles of humanity in their modern day society. And to question our chosen direction, wondering if we have made the right choice.

He is currently living and working in Bangkok, Thailand.
