“Herald of Dawn represents the inner turmoil I, and I’m sure many of us, have been dealing with lately. So I set out to make the darkest painting I could, but not to showcase the darkness but the opposite, that there may be darkness all around but sooner than later the light will arrive and things will start to get brighter.” – Jeff Kristian

Jeff Kristian strives to show the evolution of his art pieces whether it’s broken scratchy lines or a paint splatter gone wrong and focuses on finding story and emotion in texture as well as experimentation with medium and shape. When he’s not working, hanging out with his wife and daughters, or three dogs, Jeff is making music, building something, or writing and illustrating his first novel, Bifröst, a fantasy story fifteen years in the making.
