“I am fascinated and deeply moved by the essence of time, how it is both constructed by us humans, but seemingly also a law of the universe. In the inspiration of Mother Nature, I was moved to create a Goddess of time, she holds the hourglass of the universe in her hands, its glow emanating out like stars inside of a bottle. I wanted this piece to border realism and fantasy, and for her to be ethereal, yet human. Over time we are always emerging, evolving, and becoming, just like the cosmos light years away.” – Julia Jenkins

Julia Jenkins is a painter specializing in imaginative realism and fantasy art. She has exhibited her work in numerous exhibitions and galleries in Hawaii, New York, California and Minneapolis, including shows at Haven Gallery and Modern Eden. She has studied extensively at ateliers across the United States and France, as well as a residency in Tetouan, Morocco.
