“When we look at the myths and the folktales around the world, it is described that the handicrafts weren’t invented by the human beings, but it was the gods who used it first. These handicrafts were conveyed from the gods to human, or it have been stolen by nearly-gods to nourish the human life. In South Korea, we call it ‘Gil Ssam’, the weaving process of fabrics. This work of weaving, in a larger sense, the creation of human kind could be a way to glimpse over the god’s territory. I have worked on this piece, wishing the god’s blessing in all our creations.” – Choimago
