Born in the Netherlands in 1991 and raised in Spain, Àngela Maria Sierra, also known as Riso Chan, grew up in an artistic family with many generations of artists before her. Her creative upbringing inspired her on her career choice and she studied art in Spain and The Netherlands.

Riso’s work focuses on exploring the human psyche through painted portraits. Her aim is to express the inner world and give a spotlight to emotion and sensitivity. She works on finding new creative ways to express the subject of portraits, as well as designing new color palettes full of vibrancy that often contrast with the deeper meaning of the art piece.
