This year has brought me immense grief, which has also created a feeling of chaos and helplessness. This painting represents both resilience (the ram) and hope (the aurora borealis), a reminder to endure in order to see what beauty might unfold. – Cassandra Brown

Often influenced by nature, nostalgia and narrative, she tends towards the use of bright colours blended with detailed realism. She is often exploring concepts of memory and cultural identity, how the sum of our values can be recorded in what we choose to remember or forget.
