(Artist Bio)
Myriam Tillson is a French/English artist working and living in London, UK. Myriam turned to a career as an artist in 2018, after a number of years in the film industry. Her primary mediums are watercolour, gouache, graphite and acrylic. Her surrealist and symbolist paintings focus on the human form as a metaphor for the mind, and draw on her personal experience with grief, loss and trauma. Her work is a vessel for expressing and working through the ubiquitous juxtaposition of beauty and tragedy in life, and learning to balance the complex make-up of our experiences as sensitive beings.
Since becoming a full-time artist, Myriam has had work exhibited internationally, from Australia, to France, to the States, and has been featured in a number of artistic publications such as Infected by Art and Out of Steps Books.
