About the Art:

“This painting is based on a personal near-death experience where I saw a tornado with a blinding light that seems to be a tunnel to the afterlife.

The experience was so surreal, like having experienced death and rebirth at the same time which made me contemplate on my life’s meaning and purpose.” – Marc Salamat

About the Artist:

(Artist Statement)

My artworks are usually of a human form exquisitely showcasing the muscles to display what is hidden underneath the flesh. The idea is to depict the fact that we human beings all look alike without the skin. What I aim for as an artist is to explore and share the beauty and truth of being alive in this world. I wish to spread peace, love and harmony through my art and the awareness that we are all part of an infinite universe, hence we are all connected.

My art is a reflection of my personal belief and philosophy, and I use bright colors to match them. Often accompanied by symbols, it gives a message of hope, truth, peace, harmony and love and it all boils down to one single fact: that we are all One. So we should all try to live a life in harmony with nature and with others.

I continuously develop my craft by journeying from within, which is a great help for me as it gives me peace and a clear mind to think of ideas for my art.

I am a graduate of Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising at Bulacan State University in which I joined and won different competitions. After graduating, I worked in 3 companies as a Graphic Artist while painting on the side before I decided to pursue my career as a Full time Artist. I have been in the art industry for more than a decade now. I have participated in different group shows and held my 1st solo exhibit titled “The Journey of Oneness” at Provenance Art Gallery in 2018. I am also a member of ArtZooph and Hagonoy Art Group.
