About the Artwork:

“I love the phrase about the transience and futility of life as much as I love the hymn dedicated to a beautiful life. Because I believe that realizing and accepting the simple fact that there is always an end to life is perhaps the true achievement for us. And I want to express that simple fact through this piece, and I wish that people can realize it as well.

In the last moments of our lives, death has the last word, “We are but dust and shadow.” – Cho-hyun Kim
