“That’s the Look is a painting about desire. The title is a lyric from ABC’s “The Look of Love”. It seemed fitting, as the diamond mimics the shiny look one’s eyes get when they see something they love/want.” – Johannah O’Donnell
About the Artist:
Johannah O’Donnell, a Florida native, grew up in Sarasota, where she graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design with a degree in Fine Art. She is currently a full-time painter/art instructor and has exhibited work in numerous shows around the country, including a solo show at Bold Hype Gallery in NYC and a recent two-person show with Rebecca Rose (Sculpturings) at Gauntlet Gallery in San Fransisco. One of her paintings is on the cover of Lil Bub’s album, “Science & Magic”, and her work is also featured in “Lil Bub’s Lil Book”.
Influenced by the American Pop Art movement, Spanish Surrealism, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy Art, Johannah O’Donnell’s paintings use natural and figurative symbolism to comment on the ever-evolving human condition.
