About the Artwork:

“My Nocturnal was greatly inspired by my chronic insomnia and fascination with our inborn link with nature. One of my favorite records, Natural Snow Building’s ‘The Dance of the Sun and the Moon’ was on repeat while I was working on this piece.” – Brian Serway

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

My mother was an oil painter and encouraged me to create as soon as I was able to hold a brush. I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Appalachian foothills of southwest Virginia. It was there that my appreciation for nature, southern folklore, and outer space took root.
