About the Artwork:

“In today’s world it’s sometimes really hard to keep our minds off the problems and dark thoughts. Negative emotions can blur our perception, covering us like a dark veil, not letting any light in. This artwork is about being blinded, fogged with dark feelings, yet still longing for a glimpse of hope.” – Justyna S. Lewandowska

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

My name is Justyna S. Lewandowska and I’m a self taught, Polish artist based in Nottingham, UK. My journey with art started when I was a small child and it still continues. Art for me is not only a passion that I do in my spare time, but something very personal that helps me to clear up my head, meditate, take a look at things around me from a different perspective.

I’m looking for inspirations in my day to day life, nature, past and present and personal life experiences. I’m working in traditional mediums like graphite pencils and oils, still trying to learn new techniques that could help me to improve my skills and style.
My every drawing has a little story behind it, but I always hope that my viewers will find something very personal in it. And I think it motivates me the most.
