About the Artwork:
“I always had a taste for ghost stories, I was terrified of them but at the same time I loved to hear new ones. I heard a lot about spirits who attach to an object, because it was special to them when they were alive. These stories are delicate and have a little touch of fantasy, as the pre-raphaelite paintings that inspired me to paint this piece. The name of the lady alludes to Elisabeth Siddal, an artist and one of the most portrayed models of this movement.” – Black Ramu
