“BY THE CORPSE OF A FALLEN GOD is an exploration of our future. Pieces of consumerism and technology become relics that are woven into elaborate ceremonial garb and a new mythology. I describe these pieces as sort of a post-apocalyptic garden of eden, where the inhabitants live an almost idyllic life in the shadow of the past– they live in balance with an environment that will ultimately consume them.” – Michael Camarra

Michael Camarra was born and raised in Southern Connecticut before leaving to study at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where he currently lives and works.

Through his work, Michael uses figures and a vibrant palette to explore his fascination with mythology and the unseen in the context of our connection to nature.
