“I love colourful characters and I am very inspired by queer culture, so for this illustration I intended to portray a vibrant and glamorous clubkid voguing and posing on a very confined square space. This illustration is all about fun, with a little touch of weirdness in the expression.” – DEMÖ

Demontier Meireles, 28 years old, artist based in Brazil who is very inspired by queer culture, fashion, folklore and Japanese tradicional art. I love to play with shapes, forms and poses, I think there’s a lot of beauty in the ‘weird’ and the ‘strange’, I try to portray these quirks mixed with glamour, confidence and a bit of melancholy.
