About the Artwork:

“The Baobhan Sith ( pronounced “baa’-van shee” ). The baobhan sith is a shape shifting female vampire in the folklore of the Scottish Highlands, though they also share certain characteristics in common with the succubus and other fairy folk according to Wikipedia. They appear as beautiful women who seduce their victims before attacking them and draining their blood. Sometimes taking the form of ravens or the hooded crow. Like traditional fairy folk they are most vulnerable to iron.” – John Kelly Pevahouse
