About the Artwork:
“From my ‘Seafarers’ series: Ishmael from Herman Melville’s ‘Moby Dick’. The ocean background with glimpses of a sperm whale was AI generated and painted in classical way . In my interpretation of the fable, the whale is normal in color, glimmering beneath the rolling waves, embodying the primordial depths of human subconsciousness rather than Melville’s blazoned arm of divine vengeance.” – Arthur Gain
About the Artist:
(Artist Bio)
The portrait painting process is a joyful meditation. Beyond the anatomical study of the human head, portraiture explores the singularity, unique beauty, and perception of a person’s humanity. In this painting is like music; portraiture is the melody and revelation of the artist’s feelings and experience of the subject. Just as musical notes ‘color’ the symphonic poem, the artist’s brush directs the colorful notes of pigment, composing a work of poetic complexity and harmonic beauty.
