About the Artwork:
I reveled in the steps that echoed within,
The work, the movement, in its glorious hymns
“This piece is about appreciating our passion. Rabbits are fast and agile creatures able to run and leap better than most. To the rabbit, this innate ability might not seem like a big deal at all, and yet, I have frequently seen rabbits dancing and playing, reveling in their own movement. The horn and wings are reminders that what we have inside, whether it be a desire to run, to make art, to coach others, is something rare and beautiful that deserves our appreciation. So many people sadly grow bitter toward their once dream jobs and interests as earthly obligations replace passion and connection. I am certainly not immune to the struggle, but even as I can feel deadlines biting at my coattails, or an idea has ceased to be inspiring, I prioritize finding ways to reconnect with my muses and enjoy the work I create, from learning new techniques, finding exciting ideas, or taking joy in the simple satisfaction of paintbrush dancing over my painting surfaces. Art is perhaps the most important thing to my well-being, and I never want to forget just what a lovely thing it is to do what feels innate. I hope you also won’t lose sight of your own inner passions that so long to be nurtured.” – Aria Fawn
About the Artist:
My name is Aria Fawn and I am a self-taught artist working full-time out of my home studio. Though born in the otherworlds, I was mostly raised in Colorado where I live to this day ?
My oneiric, dark and surreal art style is inspired by dreams, nature, and nostalgia.
My work mainly features animals with whom I seek to tell stories and offer an open discussion with the viewer.
Much of my work also deals with emotional underlying subjects surrounding mental health and difficult life situations portrayed through fantasy. My aim is to capture real and identifiable human emotions through animal fables, and give viewers a sense of sanctuary.
Aside from nature and animals, music has perhaps one of the most immense influences on my work, which has led to me getting to work on a number of album covers for musicians all over the world.
On the occasions I am not locked away in the studio, I spend my time exploring the otherworldly planes of the earth with my canine familiar, Shinigami, or else writing, sculpting, and obsessing lovingly over dead things.
