About the Artist:
(Artist Bio)
Erlend Tait is an artist based on the Black Isle in the North of Scotland who works primarily with drawing, painting and stained glass. Physically making things is an essential aspect of his practice. Fascinated by mythology and folklore, ideology and transcendence, his work combines portraiture with pattern and symbolism.
Recently he is increasingly focused on the idea that reality is an illusion; a veil that obscures something else, and as an image-maker he is interested in the origins of illusions, how we create them, and the creative process.
