About the Artwork:
“As a Ukrainian, I am deeply influenced by the ongoing war and daily events in my homeland when creating drawings. The blowing up of the Kakhovka dam in June by occupiers was a devastating event that caused immeasurable damage to the people, animals, and lands.
Within “Resilience” emerges the essence of profound connection between spirit and nature. This work stands as a testament to the resilience of humanity, transcending borders and embracing the shared struggles that unite us. The flames symbolize the enduring spirit in the face of adversity. As the consequences of a tragic event ripple through the world, the bond between humanity and nature remains unbreakable. It is a reminder that our collective actions and choices impact the delicate balance.” – Dasha Pliska
