About the Artwork:
As dusk falls and the world grows quiet, the night-blooming flower begins its secret ritual. Its petals, tightly closed during the day, unfurl slowly under the soft embrace of moonlight. With each delicate movement, the flower awakens to the mysterious world of the night, its beauty hidden from the sun but thriving in the shadows. The air grows cool, and a faint, sweet fragrance fills the breeze, carried along like a whispered invitation to those who roam under the stars.

(Artist Bio)
Grelin Machin is a Montreal based artist who mostly works with acrylics on wood. Her work revolves around happy nostalgia, evoking fond recollections of childhood where the sight of a sweet treat and the presence of a small creature were enough to fill our hearts with pure delight and amazement. Using elements such as borders, compositions and decorative ornament, she creates small windows on a surreal world where flowers, candy and small animals are the companions of this journey.
