About the Artwork:

Iris’s popping up in the front yard and a beautiful full moon inspired this piece. I swear Irises are magical, one day they are just leaves the next stocks with full blooms. – Nikki Longfish

About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

Nikki loves creating acrylic paintings featuring comfort food and cute creatures. It all started one foggy day in San Francisco, her husband Dela said Miso Soup was so comforting he could take a bath in it.  She then painted a rubber ducky floating in Miso Soup for a group art show and couldn’t stop thinking about what other cute creatures would love to chill in a warm comforting bowl of soup.

After graduating from San Jose State University with a BFA in Illustration/Animation Nikki spent the first 10 years of her career working as an artist for multiple video game studios in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.  While in Los Angeles she curated 5 art shows at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland in Eagle Rock, CA.  Nikki currently works for the Concept Art Association as their Gallery and Mentorship Coordinator.

Her paintings have been shown in various galleries including Giant Robot Gallery, Giant Robot Store, The Harman Project New York, WOW x WOW, Gallery Nucleus,  Gallery 30 South, Sketchpad Gallery, Leanna Lin’s Wonderland, Gallery 1988, The Hive Gallery, and more.
