About the Artwork:
This painting is a product of the notorious Shanghai lockdown in H1 2022, where we were not allowed to even set foot outside our apartment for 3 months. I could see Spring blossoming outside through my window, but I could not participate. Hence I dreamt of dinosaurs that have pollen allergies due to novel circumstances and new, changed environments. – Franc Kaiser

Franc Kaiser is a Swiss national who resides in Shanghai, China. Franc paints pop-surrealistic motives, using acrylics and cardboard. He is inspired by both nature and technology and often shows animals in a technological, sci-fi environment. His paintings were shown in galleries in Los Angeles (Corey Helford Gallery), San Diego (Trash Lamb Gallery), Palm Springs (Musonium Gallery), and in Beijing (Yuan Museum).
