About the Artwork:

“This illustration was created as part of a series focusing on endangered animals. Pangolins are the only mammal completely covered with scales. These “scaly anteaters” use their scales to protect themselves from predators by curling into a tight ball. Sadly, they are one of the most trafficked animals in the world, as their meat and scales are highly desired.” – Jessica Roux
