About the Artwork:
“Some of the pieces I create start off from my sketchbook. I am interested in the way forms are developed, lines curve, and shapes interact. When I loosely transfer the image to the canvas, the painting starts to take a life of its own, I let the yellows, pinks, and violets melt, puddle, sink in together. I try to have an organic relationship between the paint and me. A lot of times I feel that the creative muses and green tea do lots of the work for me, and im just there as a painting vessel.” – Adam Alaniz
