“Aliens, man. They’re coming. We know they are out there… watching, waiting. It’s only a matter of time before they beam us off the road and into outer space. A palette of blues and purples with splatters and drips show a connection to space as well as a strong saturated palette that creates a sense of urgency. Balancing the aggressive Alien with a scene of earth below, as a car is being lifted up into a UFO above.” – Matt Byle

Matt Byle is a Detroit based artist. His inspiration stems from film, beauty, and nature, which is blended together in an expressive and aesthetically pleasing way. His style embodies a juxtaposition between the carefully planned and creative chance. He marries meticulously drafted figures with expressive drips and runs of paint in a wabi-sabi approach. His work has been featured by HiFructose, Secret Walls, events for Converse and at various galleries.
