“One of the 7 deadly sins. Snake is the animal representation for Envy. I created a snake with many eyes to show envious traits are always watching others and never looking inward. Countering that is women with her arms crossed, almost stand-offish to others because she is so focused on what they have and not who they are.” – Matt Byle

Matt Byle is a Detroit based artist. His inspiration stems from film, beauty, and nature, which is blended together in an expressive and aesthetically pleasing way. His style embodies a juxtaposition between the carefully planned and creative chance. He marries meticulously drafted figures with expressive drips and runs of paint in a wabi-sabi approach.
