About the Artwork:

Engineers are turning restlessly in their sleep and wake up in the middle of the night, dreaming about nature outsmarting the engineers’ latest technology. At the same time, imitation and inspiration from nature has always been a driving force of science and engineering. Helicopters imitate dragonflies. Wind turbine blades imitate bird wings. Robotic arms imitate octopus arms. Bullet trains imitate the design of a kingfisher beak. The optimistic message here that in conjunction, technology and nature can both elevate and propel each other to next levels of application, solutions, and achievements. – Franc Kaiser
