About the Artwork:

“Although, at one point in her life, the girl’s heart spoke only the words of truth, now it mostly speaks just hurtful lies. It had become scarred and damaged by the words of others. So it duplicated and changed; the girl no longer knew which were the ones of truth and which were the ones of deception. She choked them down, only for them to float back up to the surface once again. After years of battling these imposters, she simply gazed out and allowed them to be carried away on the breeze, leaving her absolutely empty inside.

‘The Voices In Her Heart’ is the newest of my work and will mark the start of a brand new series, which will incorporated (what I lovingly titled) Shit Talking
Hearts and Shit Talking Ribbons. These will become the common threads holding my green and blue girls together with their natural skinned counterparts. The work is deeply personal and represents my real life experiences and emotions.” – Gina Altadonna
