About the Artwork:
“This Bristlecone pine tree is from the Methuselah trail in Inyo National Forest in California. Some trees here are as old as the pyramids but are left unmarked, so it is left up to the imagination to wonder. This pillar of time grows slowly, battered and twisted by its extreme conditions. The sun’s red ring is an echo of a memory of California’s ash filled skies.” – Rachael Pease
