“I encountered this ancient oak tree at Blenheim Palace one wintery and holiday lit night. I felt like it was a guardian of a gateway between two infinite worlds. I imagined a connected tangle of roots expanding for hundreds of years into the dark depths below my feet. Then I looked up and saw branches reaching to the cosmos. I envisioned the leaves being replaced by glowing orbs. As I inked the page, this image emerged. ” – Rachael Pease

Rachael Pease is an internationally exhibited landscape artist and envoy of nature. Her work documents real trees and locations, yet is woven with strings of fantasy and memory.
Rachael was born in Indiana and started drawing from the age of 8. She went on to earn her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. She has lived and worked coast to coast within the USA- NYC to LA. Her work has been featured in HiFructose and My Modern Met and can be found in a variety of collections including The Resnick and The Swizz Beatz (Dean). She is currently based in a new studio in Chipping Norton, UK.
