About the Artwork:

“The theme of trust came to mind as I created this piece, as I imagine that Edgar feels an immense amount of love and trust for his pet whale. I believe that the Ghostly Whale feels this same love for Edgar, as this human has given him a purpose and a source of joy in the afterlife. Together, they spend every night flying above the moonlit sea.” – Juliet Schreckinger
