About the Artist:
Steeven Salvat is a French self-taught artist who creates artworks with a hatching technique, using China ink, a lot of lines and hundreds of hours. Inspired by masters like Albrecht Dürer, Gustave Doré, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, he gives a lot of importance to art technique and details. Rotring pens allow him to create art pieces close to engraving but with a modern twist. He likes using his passion for the natural world to highlight duality, such as the contrast between biologic and mechanic, light versus heavy. Surrealism, science fiction and imaginative movies or novels are also part of his inspiration.
