About the Artist:
(Artist Bio)
I live in North Wales and grew up here. I’m a self-taught print maker and artist. I used to focus solely on illustration and screen printing when I first went full-time with self-employment (I often make and sell my own t-shirts for example), but I’ve recently been revisiting older mediums and exploring new ones too. Lately I’ve been focused on creating collage art and trying to develop that. I especially like to take pictures of what I suppose many would consider ”beauty” and then manipulate them into something unsettling. I’m really enjoying the journey of new discoveries at the moment.. I also took up photography with hopes to document various places of interest to me, like abandoned mines and the detritus of forgotten industries, incorporating these things in my art. I find myself drawn to unusual places like that and I think my imagery may stem, in part, from that fascination. I’m always keeping busy with various projects and am fortunate enough to say that I’m quite prolific as far creation goes. Probably because I can’t turn my head off for the majority of the time. As far as my work goes, I don’t like to explain meanings and much prefer it be left open to interpretation by the viewer.
