Abner J. Cardona. is an illustrator born in Puerto Rico where he studied and specialized in Fine Art. For the past few years he’s been working in an animation studio as a Background artist and Lead Background artist. Since then he’s worked on children’s books, comics, album covers, business logos and products, gallery work and personal art.
His artwork is mostly based on Traditional historical figures and imagery from Puerto Rican and Caribbean culture, since they are important to his history and traditions. As a personal mission he illustrates these images in a captivating way that hopefully can spark interest to a broader public through style, colors, composition and environments.
His work has been recognized by the Independent Publisher Book Awards with a gold medal in the Juvenile Non-Fiction category.
