Wandering the maze of corridors aboard the ship, researchers imagine novel approaches to solving the problem of gravity. As they travel, they run prototype after prototype through predictive models, tweaking designs and speculating on hidden branches of physics – perhaps going slightly mad from isolation and overwork.

My paintings describe a world separate from, but perhaps, distantly related to our own. A place where strange machines and prowling monsters traverse a landscape spotted with the rubble of earlier ages. Following this world’s internal rules and history I depict the behavior, abilities, and technologies of this world’s inhabitants.
