About the Artwork:
“I have always been fascinated by acrobats, or really any human who can perform fantastic gymnastic and balancing feats. My character Thurman, a Thresher shark born with an extraordinarily long tail, spends his days practicing to become the ocean’s first Acrobat Shark. His wild and fun activities attract other local friends, who want to share in the excitement. Over time, it has become the group’s evening ritual to get together and put on their amazing act, which spectators began to call ‘The Thurman Show’.” – Juliet Schreckinger
