About the Artwork:
‘Lake of Oz’ is an unintentional rendition of how the artist sees the extended universe of the classic 1940s tale. The artist aims to guide the viewer into the position of the Wicked Witch, peering down into a telescope and keeping track of the subjects. The artist often feels a voyeuristic quality when creating her paintings, an act that she hopes the viewer relates to. The artwork acts as a window, peering into their world that is not ours.
About the Artist:
Zeke’s Lunchbox is an art pseudonym for Melbourne based artist, Julia Rich.
