About the Artwork:
“The painting is part of a series of cryptocurrency-themed artwork I have been working on. I chose the alien and bitcoin combination because cryptocurrrency is still in it’s infancy and ‘alien’ to our society. The moon setting and the baby holding a silver spoon was inspired by the slang term ‘mooning’, which means an extreme surge in price. The painting was created in January 2018, just after bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies reached their current all-time-highs.” – Ana Bagayann

My work is inspired by the metaphysical – E.T.s, aliens, spirits, ghosts, intergalactic space creatures, ethereal beings, anything that hints at the idea that we are just a small part of the unimaginably vast Universe.
