About the Artist:

(Artist Bio)

Bronwyn Schuster (She/They) is a Canadian visual artist living on the unceded territories of the pentlatch, k’omoks, sliammon, and qualicum nations. They studied drawing at the Swedish Academy of Realist Art, receiving an Artist Renewal Centre award. Bronwyn works as a fine artist, illustrator, and muralist.

(Artist Statement)

My art practice is based on a love of nature and folklore through drawing, painting, and murals. When I create, I have a story or a myth in mind that I explore through queer identity and my local environment. I search for the magic in the mundane, and the ordinary in the fantastic.

The mediums I work with include watercolour, gouache, pencil crayon, and oil paint.
