About the Artwork:

This piece, titled ‘Seedling’, explores the mysterious and enchanting world of growth and transformation, inspired by the relationship between parents and children. At the center, a delicate seedling unfolds its leaves, surrounded by blooming flowers with eyes that seem to watch over it. This reflects the emotions parents feel—joy and pride as they watch their child grow, mixed with the constant worries about what the future holds.

The intertwining roots and ribbon symbolize the bond between parent and child—a connection that nurtures and protects, while still allowing the child to grow. Like a parent, the flowers watch over the seedling, ready to protect, but understanding that the child must face the world to reach their full potential. – Po Yan Leung
