WOW x WOW Gallery proudly presents Memories Become Dreams. Opening on wowxwow.com at 7pm BST on 4th April and running until 25th April, the exhibition will feature over 60 incredible original artworks by more than 50 super talented international artists.
During life, and the creative process, memories can begin to lose their edges and dissolve into dreams, where they are no longer bound by the rules of time, place, or even truth. What was once a concrete experience (a conversation, a childhood home, or a fleeting glance on a rainy afternoon) begins to shift in the mind’s quiet spaces, taking on new shapes, new meanings, and emotional hues that never quite existed in the moment itself. An artist does not recreate memory as it was, but as it is felt, as it lingers, distorted and deepened by longing, nostalgia, and imagination. Through this process, memory is liberated from fact and infused with possibility, dreaming itself into metaphors, symbols, and stories that reach beyond the personal into the universal. It is here, and also at the heart of many an artist’s practice, that lies a space where ‘Memories Become Dreams’.
