“If you’re not a resident of California, you may find yourself saying that this state does not have seasons. It can feel like the endless sun never gives way to winter. But we do have seasons in California and one of those seasons is fire season. When the superblooms die off and fires start, the Santa Ana winds can carry embers for miles.
My painting is an abstract view that aquatic life may have of our seashores, from the calm of the ocean, to the raging fires above.” – Sarah Pinner

Sarah Pinner is an indigenous artist who lives and works in the Southern California area. She graduated from ArtCenter College of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2010. She has shown her artwork at Gallery Nucleus and as well as with Giant Robot.
