I am a professional painter working in the Philadelphia area. Over the years, my work has progressed along a variety of paths, most recently including a series of skull-like creatures mixed with various imaginary period costumes and locales. Originally trained as a designer at the Russian State Academy of Art and Design in St. Petersburg Russia . Most of my technique is self-taught as I’ve moved on to work in a variety of new media during the intervening years. I like to make surrealistic and fantastic imagery that alludes to a broader narrative context. I try not to spell too much out for the viewer and hope the images I create serve as a touchstone for people’s respective imaginations. I’ve shown in a variety of galleries along the East coast of the United States and have done illustrations for clients as diverse as Heavy Metal and Lenox.
